Sorry, grew up in Tennessee. Freedom Hall (immortalized by Aerosmith's Rag Doll Video)

Same concept though. Generally admission, big rush, like the begging of the WALL.

The first 2 don't count - I was with my parents:
Shaun Cassidy at Ovens - I was 6 and fell asleep.
Billy Joel on Glass Houses tour - Old Coliseum

True first concert - no parents, plenty of drugs:
Iron Maiden / Quiet Riot tour.

  3. The first (and only) concert that I went to was Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw.

Black Sabath Iron Man Tour at Asbury Park Pier, 1974. The loudest concert ever. We were 30 feet from the right side of the stage, blasted by the tower of speakers. Ears rang for days.

My first show was U2 at the Omni, Spring 85, The Unforgetable Fire Tour.

My first "big" show was U2 here last year. What a great night that was.

Wow - My first one was in the same place, except the year before, 1973. I had just turned 14. $5.50 for Grand Funk Railroad I already had my own bag of pot. Smoked 3 or 4 joints and then had parents pick us up afterwards.

Yeah those were the good old days. Now I don't even bother with concerts. The only way I would go to one is if I could get tickets in the first 10 rows so I could really SEE the band. What fun are live concerts without smoking reefer?

The first was the biggest. Dec. 1969 the second concert after Woodstock. Palm Beach International Rock Festival. Three days, twenty dollars.
Iron Butterfly led off. I can't name everybody but I remember Janis Joplin, Sly and the family Stone, Steppenwolf, Johny Winters, Jefferson Airplane, The Byrds, Country Joe, King Crimson and the last Band was the Stones.

not to bad for twenty bucks... L O L
