Let's remove the afterlife, eternal salvation, reincarnation, praising God, Allah, Hecate or Odin and any other aspects that take place upon the spiritual plane or post life. What 2 or 3 tenets of your religion/spirituality/belief system do you try to live up to or abide by on a daily basis?

For me, it's all about trying to live as Jesus would have me live -- with His character. My goal in life is to change into the kind of person that when people look at me, they don't see me, they see Him. The moral and ethical actions and behaviors associated with the ideal perception of what Biblical Christianity is supposed to be are a natural result of that character. Simply put, without Him as the central focus in my life, I probably wouldn't have the motivation or ethical standard to even attempt what I try to do now.

I try not to murder anyone.

I am polite to strangers unless they drive like crap.

I never ever covet my neighbors belongings. Well, except for the guy 2 streets over. His wife is a smoking hot 5-9 blonde and he drives a 2006 Subaru Tribeka.

    I am only human. :bananalam

live and let live. it's the passive equivalent of "do unto others" - it's more about trying not to do anything unto others.

I try with all my might not to judge and usually make too many excuses for myself and others in the process.

I try to love thy neighbor - but fall short on doing enough for society.
