    .294 career hitter. 481 homers and almost 1400 rbi. 10 gold gloves and was the voted as the player of the decade by his peers in the 1999 Player Choice Awards.

    not sure how he can be over rated just because he has run into a string of injuries. when healthy, he is one of the best all around players in the game. problem is, he is rarely healthy the past 2+ seasons.

    he is 34 years old and maybe his body is breaking down. maybe he has the worst luck known to MLB players in recent memory. even still, injuries do not mean he is over rated.

    what pisses me off about him is that it seems every year that you truly give up on him he blows up and has a good season. He's a gambler's worst nightmare
