    DVD's.

For one thing, they make them almost impossible to open. When you finally get the 3 pieces of plastic tape holding them together off, then it's hard to get the damn thing out. Why is this? They should have a pull tab and then pop right out of the box. They're worse than CD's.

But what really pisses me off is they are starting to sell ONLY widescreen editions of everything. I know some people like them, but I absolutely HATE widescreen versions, because neither of my TV's accomodate them and it makes the picture look too small.

I think it's a plot to get everybody to buy HDTV's or widescreen friendly versions of televisions.

The DVD's I got from ColumbiaHouse are fucking 2-sided. 2-SIDED! I have to get up off my ass during a movie to flip the thing over like some damn cassette.

Buy the full screen edition almost every movie comes that way. Sometimes they come wide screen on one side and full screen on the other.

they could format all DVDs to hold the movie in BOTH formats on one side... but they can sale them for more if they do it seperately... some movies do come that way but the majority waste space on the DVD to make more money

Anyone ever get DVDs that just won't play? I've got that problem with about half of the ones I buy. Some play fine, older movies just won't work in my DVD player though. And it's a DVDRom Drive.

Our upstairs DVD player has troubles sometimes. The movie will just wind down and you can hear the player trying to pick up where it left off. We didn't get any kind of service warranty on it, so we just put up with it. Or go downstairs.

That's why you get a dvd changer with a flip feature... in stead of getting up, you just hit a button
