    You know the drill. http://www.gbnreport.com/2004top100.htm

Kind of ilistrates my point about corners. By 31, 5 would be gone, assuming this sort of ranking parlayed into actual picks.

    31 Sean Jones FS 6-1, 218 Georgia

Its either he or Strait. He's undervalued here. Not as tall as I'd like, but a rangy and athletic player.

    62 Matt Ware CB 6-2, 210 UCLA

Throw him into the mix. A bigger player to develop and push Wesley.

    94 Jason Peters TE 6-4, 335 Arkansas

Why the hell not. Just keep him away from the BBQ on Saturdays.

126 Tyson Clabo OG 6-7, 315 Wake Forest

    Big developmental guard.

    158 Shawntee Spencer CB 6-2, 175 Pittsburgh

Raw, but damn fast. Let him work his way on special teams and see if we can develop.

190 Drew Carter WR 6-4, 205 Ohio State

Finally, HC gets that reciever. Raw, more athlete than player. But that's what the 6th round is.

222 Bradlee Van Pelt QB 6-2, 225 Colorado State

    Randy Fasani, part dueax.

i'd be happy with that, all things considered. I really like Spencer at that spot.

31 Ben Watson TE just have to make sure he can long snap
62 Devard Darling WR Wanted a corner but there wasn't one in the hood so...
94 Matt Ware FS good golly I'll take Matt here!
126 Carlos Joseph T He could go in round 2 or 3.
158 Shawntee Spencer CB Ran a 4.39 , good smart cover corner.
190 John Navarre QB Just in case.
222 Lamar Bryant G Some boards rate him the sixth best G.

I wanted more D, but let value get in the way instead.

    31 - Derrick Strait CB 5-11, 195 Oklahoma
Would fit perfect with Manning and would compete right away with Hawkins for the starting job.

    62 - Nat Dorsey OT 6-7, 322 Georgia Tech
Could start immediately at RT and allow Meadows to move to guard. Improving the line overall as a whole.

    94 - Matt Ware FS 6-2, 210 UCLA
Wasn't looking for a FS, but he turned out to be available here.

    126 - P.K. Sam WR 6-3, 210 Florida State
Project with some size, but he could easily beat Walter Young for a roster spot if it came down to it.

    158 - Shawntee Spencer CB 6-2, 175 Pittsburgh
Special teams speed and can help on defense after a little coaching.

    190 - Jared Lorenzon QB 6-3, 290 Kentucky
Reserve QB that could probably beat Peete out of a job.

    222 - Greg Walker OG 6-5, 330 Clemson
More project than anything else, but honestly he's no worse than Tuten Reyes and would easily take Reyes' job.
    --------------------------------
I noticed I focused primarily on O-Line and Defensive secondary, but those seem to be the 2 spots that are in most need of help on the Panthers roster. Everything else seems to be relatively good shape.

I bet Ware is gone by # 47 or so.

    31 - Vernon Carey OG
Carey is the best player available. Jeno who
    62 - Ricardo Colclough CB
IMO every Corners in this years draft have to much risk to take one in the 1st (Minus Poole).
    94 - Matt Ware FS
    No brainer.
    126 - Ben Utecht TE
    Same as above.
    158 - Arnold Parker CB
Reward far out weighs the risk.
    190 - Drew Carter WR
This guy is the perfect replacement for Moose if given a year.
    222 - Stacy Andrews OT
I have this guy alot higher like 4th round.

I like alot of you like Shawntee Spencer I just think 5th round is a little high for him. Parker has had injury problems but hes faster than Spencer can play both CB and FS and ST. If Arnold Parker had stayed healthy this year IMO he would be a 2nd rounder.

    >>I bet Ware is gone by # 47 or so.

    I'll take that bet. 20? Where's ks? :)

He's listed as much as a corner, though, and I hate hearing "stiff in he hips" when discussing tall corners. Reminds me of Rashad.

I didn't get a lot of value out of mine, I reached for need. Although these ratings are a bit screwed up, I'd rate Jones higher. And I have a feeling Jenkins will fallllllll far from 32.

    I like this one better.

    Version 2

    31. Ben Watson TE 6-3, 257 Georgia

Well, we lost out on our first shot at filling this whole when the Rams matched Malu, so the FO sees this as a need as I do. Watson is the best 2 way blocking and recieving TE in the draft. He can do both.

    62. Stuart Schweigert FS 6-2, 218 Purdue

OK. So he'll have a beer or three. Give him and Coop a driver.

He runs well and hits well. Will get sucked in at times, somewhat like Minter, but closes fast on what's in front of him and has the range we need. And again, he hits like a ton. Free safety ball skills, with a Strong Safety mentality.

    94. Derrick Hamilton WR 6-3, 195 Clemson

Raw talent, could have used another year in school. Still, he was/is a playmaker with good body control and footwork. Has a nice timing on leaps for downfield balls. May take a year or two to work on his routes, but he can earn his keep as a punt/kick returner.

    122. Carlos Joseph OT 6-6, 345 Miami

Future Right Tackle. He's the reason Carey plays guard. Needs to keep his weight in check, but when he does, is a tackle that can move well. Could play guard as well with his ability to pull. Can anchor well. Biggest negative is again, keeping him in shape and motivated, which is why he may fall to us in the 4th.

    158. Shawntee Spencer CB 6-2, 175 Pittsburgh

Uh? Too high? I guess, past the 4th round, I see day two as much different and much more fluid. It's all the same relative value, you just get the guys you like.

    190 Sean Tufts LB 6-2, 242 Colorado

An inside linebacker with good measurables but hasn't shown much develoment due to some injuries.

    222 Matt Schaub QB 6-6, 245 Virginia

Didn't see him here before. I'll take a shot at him as a backup, even though it will mean my father in law will be yelling for him to start everytime Jake throws an incompletion.

Is Andrews really the 2nd best OT in the draft? If he is I'd take him. Still not satisfied with the OL. Also Jason P in the third looks like a pick F&H would do, then use him like a blocking lineman.

too much of a risk, IMO. Big ole powerful right tackle, but will struggle in pass protection. Has weight issues. Isn't quick like we want our Tackles to be. Not the athlete like other big tackles are (Leonard Davis, Mike Williams, Korey Stringer). Once he gets his hands on you, your done. But I just don't see him fitting.
