There wasn't any contact unless they bumped foreheads. Buckner comes in there like a little bitch. You can see his face after he did it. He's like, um, I shouldn't have done that cuz Doh is not Dave Odom and can beat my punk little ass.

Who gives a fuck about Buckner anyway? This is the most press he's gotten his enite career besides being Greg Buckner's little brother.

There was contact and the only reason I give a shit is because wossa wants to act like Buckner is the only one who needs to apologize when Doh started the whole damn thing with his bad temper and failure to grasp the actual situation.

Unless you had a mic down there I don't think you can assume anything. Maybe Collins said that cuz he was also skeered Doh was gonna beat his ass. He sure didn't look like he was telling Doh he was talking to the refs, and Collins was the one who approached Doh. I got fucking eyes. Not to mention Jones hit Felton on purpose, but that's a whole differnt topic.

Sly I don't think it's the apology part anybody really cares about. Doh and Collins should both Apologize as should Buckner. The main point is Buckner left the bench and pushed a coach. That just shouldn't happen and I was under the impression if a player left the bench like this they were suppose to be suspended 1 game? I may be thinking about the NBA or something.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong here.

whine whine whine, bitch bitch bitch. You don't suspend buckner, why, cuz suspending a never used player makes people talk even more shit about you. My opinion, collins, doh, williams, and buckner should all be gone. coaches should know better. and players shouldn't leave the bench or go into the oposing bench area. Like k is gonna talk shit about his guy. He don't coach at carolina where unrest is the common theme these days. I hope maryland beats your whiny asses by 40.

    again.

First of all this is just one journalists version of what happened:

    By Lenox Rawlings
    JOURNAL COLUMNIST
"Once the play ended, Doherty rushed to Felton, jabbering at the officials as he kneeled down. As Doherty started to stand up, he saw or heard Collins yapping at Carolina's impassive Rashad McCants or a ref or Doherty. He screamed at the Duke assistant coach: "You shut the (stuff) up."

Doherty moved toward Collins, who moved toward Doherty. They bumped chests, with Doherty supplying more energy. Reserve Buckner jumped in and shoved Doherty in the chest with both hands, which separated Doherty from Collins.

At that instant, Doherty apparently realized the stakes and backed out, raising both hands up as if to announce: "I had nothing to do with this."

That was nonsense, an acting job worthy of studio wrestling. It was also a retreat that might have saved Doherty's job. If he had shoved Buckner back, Doherty would have invited severe penalties, undermined his thin support and substantiated the worst rumors about his emotional excesses. As it was, Doherty showed the public the flash temper that has evoked some player complaints."

Second, there were several Carolina players who left the bench.

    Barry Svrluga
"Doherty -- who must have a short memory -- said he didn't know if anyone shoved him, and even though several of the Carolina players came down the court to get in on the outskirts of the action, no one was ejected, including Buckner."

Third....if you want Buckner suspended, are you also prepared to suspend Jawad Williams?

    Tom Berry
"Then Duke senior guard Andre Buckner, who never saw action, came off the bench to shove Doherty.

Then UNC forward Jawad Williams pushed Buckner.
    "

Williams was in the game I think, I am talking more about leaving the bench. If this were the other way around, it would be the same in reverse, that's a fact.

the comment about Doherty would have gotten in trouble for shoving Buckner is idiotic. Because of course he DIDN'T shove him did he? and if Doherty would have gotten in trouble then why didn't Buckner?

And I have no problem with Williams getting suspended either you asswipe - if he came off the bench to fight he should get suspended - even if he only did it because of Buckners misguided action.

look at the replay closely - Doherty was kneeling over Felton talking only too him and the referee - McCants are passively walking back to the UNC bench - he wasn't woofing or glaring or anything - WTF was Collins doing coming up to jaw at McCants???

Your precious little team is folding down the stretch - Collins was wrong, Buckner was wrong and Kwieuwidg was wrong.

You know it but just are too much of a pussy to admit it.

You know when UNC fans are right, the ABCers just say we are whining or crying, but usually that means we are right and that is about all they can come up with.
