I keep having this horrible dream that we let Gross walk and that we replace Gross with Wharton and replace Wharton with the 2nd we get for Peppers.

Teams are still going to have to find a way to deal with DW. Not a lot of teams have that going for them.

Arizona was able to sprinkle a little water onto Chia-Tard and pick off 5 balls, which limited the running game.

I still like our chances in a relatively mediocre defensive division. Not loving some of the offseason activity either, but not much I can do about it.

god, what a bunch of bitches....ok lets look at who left
Mccoy-weve developed so many qbs here-
Sunsuri-how many sacks did the d line have minus Peppers?
Flajole-LBs out of postion, missing tackles, overpursuing, getting beat in coverage-with the exception of Beason no one looked good
Lewis-a confused looking secondary late in the season
Trgovac-poor play calling and it didnt appear alot of players were buying in
Peppers-very good player, but keeping him and his salary does nothing to get us better at safety corner linebacker or d line-he is not a one man gang, if you had all the peices and needed him to put you over the edge then id say yes worry about it-overall the defense could improve and lose talent at one position

Gross-solid but not spectacular, any genius here want to pay him elite LT money? He is in no way an Orlando Pace, Jonathan Ogden caliber player. Wharton has done well enough at LT-i dont see alot of drop off between the two-Otah looks solid on RT so why not let amother team overpay him?

new coaching doesnt seem like a bad thing for this defense-they have to be smart and not overpay players, kinda like the way NE has let a lot of players regarded as top talent go and continued on

while were at it force Jake to take a pay cut or let him go too

those 3 moves would save enough money to fill alot of holes here-addition by subtraction

while your at it get your friggin heads out of the sand

again, fiscally the responsible thing to do would be to let him walk and resign Hangartner to a small deal. He played better at the end of the year but he's still not suited to guard.

I'm fine with Gross staying, though. He was a good LT last year. Is he going to be worth what he'll get? Probably not. Has anyone on this run of huge spending on OL the last couple years? Not really.

an we are left with the head coach who drove him away by not letting him do it any differently, yay

It would be one thing if a few had been fired so they could be upgraded, but they volunteered to leave. YAY

I liked it better when I thought guys like Brick were joke accounts instead of intellectual midgets from Thelt's School of Morons.

Serious discussion over speculation is what makes the interweb fun.

Maybe all 4 defenseive coaches and Peppers were involved in a child porn ring.
