    Initially, yes. Then he was ready for it to go and started jawing back at Sheffield.

    The Yankees in general and Shef in particular should send that security guard some cash, cause he saved them from the potential nihgtmare of Sheffield not being able to keep his cool and then getting suspended for going after the guy. And the Red Sox should give the guy a raise.

    ESPN main page has a pretty good film clip of the game (titled "Confrontation"). shows the call Gibson screwed up on the 3-2 pitch to sheffield.

    No one got hit, but the one time I saw a Sox game at Yankee Stadium, loose change and batteries were flying onto the field like confetti.
