Yankees visit Va. Tech

    Classy move by the organization, Jeter for the way that he handles the situation with the girl who lost her fiance, and especially (gulp) ARod for hanging out in the Tech dugout for most of the game.

    I could never own a Yankees, hat, but the ones they had on that were the Tech colors were pretty awesome.

    I thought it was a classy thing to do as well. The Yankees gave 1 million to the Va Tech Victims Fund and really did a great job with the people in Blacksburg. I'm no Yankees fan but they should be commended for what they did.

    I saw on some college apparel site the same hats NY logo was orange minus the orange VT on the back for between 19.99 and 27

    Yep. The VT online store was already sold out of most NY/VT styles yesterday. Looks like the Spankees make their $1mil back many times over on this deal.

    The Yankees don't need another marketing opportunity, but you need some compassion and a brain that works.

    That was a class act by an entire organization that not only spent their own money but gave up a precious day off to go out of their way to help heal the wounds of still greaving students, parents, and friends.
