Torii Hunter is a red herring. He plays what maybe 6-8 games there a year unlike a regular Red Sox CF who would play 82 games max. So just who would have the better idea on how many balls get hit there a year? Also the shitty Twins pitching may have something to do with it.

funny that of all the dozens of comparisons I saw and heard in articles and by analyists I never saw one that said Damon would be moving to a smaller playing area by moving to Yankee Stadium,, not one but I sure did the opposite,, all of them

let alone making my original point of Damon is going to be run on a lot more at Yankee Stadium and is going to have to make a lot more long throws and from farther distances

See Gregg Easterbrook's column about how the media describes blitzing in football to get an idea of just how credible most of those sources are. Now if Peter Gammons or someone tells me that Fenway is smaller, I'll shut up, but so far I'm the only one who has posted actual pictures of the physical dimensions and they back up my point.

your pictures are screwed up,, they are not the same scale

take a ruler and follow from homeplate straight out to 400' in both pictures,, how come Fenway's is much longer to 400' than Yankee stadium?

you are nuts if you think playing centerfield in Fenway is harder than Yankee Stadium,, just the gap shots to left center means rebounds off of the monster compared to running 400 ft to get them in Yankee Stadium,, damn ive seen it a hundred times a year,,

Jeter better be ready to take Damon's cut offs from about the 380' mark
