Jackson was old and the Bobcats won't be good for years, if ever. Detroit was going to take Biyombo, so they wanted to move up to get him. Bummer that Knight didn't fall to 9.

So they add a defensive big man and a point guard. Walker and DJ should make a good tandem. If BB can play the 5 at least part time then this might work. I wish they could have moved Diaw as well.

I didn't have an issue with trading Jackson either. Like Collin said he is getting up in age and seems to make headlines more for technicals than scoring. I really wanted Leonard as he fills a BIG need at the 3 but here's hoping Kemba and DJ can do something. Maybe Kemba can become our Jason Terry, instant offense off the bench

oh no, Stephen Jackson is gone!!! Are you kidding me? Who gives a shit? He's just ok and not getting any better. Team needs to get bad to get good, and taking a project like the african and moving that texas turd to the bench aren't really bad things. Hopefully they keep the African far away from Diop, so his stink doesn't get on him. We'll get to see more DJ White, more Tyrus Thomas, and hopefully less Boris fatslob Diaw. This team is going to blow next year, but I rather that than the 7-8 seed or worse the 9th best team in the East. Peace "Jack" and by the way, that nickname blew donkey balls.

Jackson and Magette are only a year apart in age. Its not like they got some young stud in return. MIL wanted to unload Magette. Jackson obviously has value because no team in their right mind would trade the #7 for Shaun Livingston and the #19 straight up.

Magette had no role to speak of in Milwaulkee and yes were ready to dump him. He has averaged 16 pts per something like 6 of the last 7 years with last year as the exception when he was injured early on and couldn't get on the court enough to do anything. Bobcats still need some 3 pt shooters since Larry Brown never valued it

Biyombo + Knight would have been a great draft since Knight can play at least some 2. Oh well. This #39 pick is interesting, though. I like going for the home run there instead of some bum who has no chance to be anything.

Good move. Its gonna be a shortened year. Bobcats are gonna suck... if you're gonna suck and get a high draft pick, a shortened year is the year to do it. The team is resetting... essentially the same thing Seattle/Oklahoma did a few years back.
