Sorry, MS is trying to rewrite the constitution. If I purchase XP and want to put it on 10 PCs in my house, then I'll do it. Its no different than when you would make a cassette tape of an albulm you purchased. I bought it so I own it. Matter of fact, I can give it to another person as a gift. Now if I were load it on other peoples computers keeping the copy myself, that would be wrong.

Unfortunately, you're either illiterate, ignorant, or just hopped up on goofballs. I don't think the constitution says much about copyright and contract law...

What you need to realize is that when you buy any product, specifically music and software, you are buying a USE agreement, you don't OWN the product. If you don't like that agreement, then buy something else, but you definitely don't have any legal or moral backing for making 10 copies of a CD, whether it's copyrighted music or software.

The only reason I go so hardcore on this is because people go so hardcore the other way. It's amazing how many people will try to justify their actions when the reality is that they want something and don't want to pay for it. It's the decay of society as we know it...

Microsoft is stopping people from reselling their software on ebay now. that just pisses me off to no end. If I buy office 97 and then I buy office 2002, I should have every right to sell my office 97 software.
