Xbox live costs $$ though, that's lame.

So does anyother service provider. I look forward to getting it. I play online games on the PC all the time and that was the main reason for choosing an Xbox

xbox live is like $5 a month at the most and is much more organized than ps2 online.

yeah, no more money per year than that ps2 network adaptor. Not to mention the added features XBL has over ps2 online. I like ps2 just fine, but they did miss the boat on online.

$50 a year for service, friends list, headset, free chat outside of games versus $40 for the network adaptor and $20 for a decent headset that won't even work in all PS2 online games? That's lame.

XBox has kick-ass games and I like the system, but I have to give the title to PS2 for now. My XBox is just a little too buggy. I always have hell getting custom soundtracks to work. What's more, I'm of the opinion that the PS2 Dual Shock is THE single greatest video game controller ever made. It works beautifully for almost any kind of game; the only thing you can't do is shoot at the screen or do that retarded Dance Dance thing.

PS2 also has the lock on third party support, so almost all the really badass games will be available for it.

That's not to take too much away from XBox. When the damn drive works the way it's supposed to, the extras and custom soundtracks make it worth lining Bill Gate's pockets.

I originally got the XBOX because my friend works for Microsoft and could get the games (Microsoft Published) for $10. I had the PS2 as well but once I got my high def big screen and XBOX live I sold the PS2 because its main purpose was collection of dust. The games are getting much better and there are new ones coming out every week. Without a doubt the XBL is worth the $50/year. I play online with people I know from all over the country. I was even online one night and a guy that was playing turned out to be my cousin from Chicago.
