The wife and kids departed for a week with the in-laws and I promptly went out and bought an Xbox system from Sam's (I'll deal with any repercussions later).

My questions is (and I apologize if it is rehashing any old topics) what are some qood games out there. I rented Splinter Cell and NCAA 2004 for the week, but I also want to find some keepers for later on (probably get Madden 2004 when it comes out).

I prefer sports-related and action-type games, but with two kids probably need something in their range also (I'm sure my daughter will like the Barbie Horse game in November).

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I don't play Xbox, but Agent Smith loves Halo, and I've heard lots of other people do too. :)

Had an Xbox for about 6 months now. I've found that the NFL2K series is the best imo, the name is changing to ESPN football this year. However the NCAA 2004 and Madden 2004. are interactive....You can play a season of NCAA and then draft the graduating seniors in Madden.

Halo is a great game as well.

Subscribe to the XBOX magazine, every month you get a few demos and it keeps you up to date on whats coming...I like having the Demos because it gives you something different to try every month.

Great thanks, I've tried out NCAA 2004 and Knights of the Old Republic, may have to buy these.

I've heard alot about Halo. Gonna have to try that next.

Good call on Knights of the Old Republic. Many hours of gaming bliss in that one.
