If you've got a GOOD TV, and decent surround sound system, and a Blu-Ray player the picture and sound are unbelievable.

If you've got cheap WalMart shit, then no you won't notice much difference.

HD-DVD is better than the crap from On Demand. Hell some Upconvert regular DVD is better than on demand. On demand can only be pushed out at 720p, but then again anyone that bought a TV that is worth a damn already knows that.

I have a sony lcd 53". I have the 321 home theather system from bose, which I am not a big fan of but I got it for free. Blu ray is nice, but my HD movies on demand along with Showtime and HBO are 1080i, and they are perfectly fine.

Like I said, our PS3 collects dust.

No HD Movies on Demand are 720p. 1080i is simply interlacing the 720p picture. Basically software stretching the picture more than it actually is. Meanwhile 1080p is actually that size. You're TV is okay. I've got a 55 in. Sony in my bedroom, so they do make a decent product.

And don't get down on your Bose system its not bad for the price, but I'd recommend upgradting it in the future.

The Bose 321 is garbage. The TV is fantastic.

And Blu Ray is nice, but not worth the extra money. Not even close. I'd rather just stream HD movies off Netflix on my 360.
