    Interesting. Of course, that could be avoided entirely just by keeping your 360 well ventilated.

    i don't know how much more well ventilated i could have kept mine short of having a fan blowing on it at all times. Still had to get mine replaced. 4th one. For different reasons.

    I am getting one for christmas and would love to know some ideas about keeping it well ventilated?

    Put it in a box, and just poke holes in the top.

    not trying to quesion theorie but how does putting it in a closed environment with holes ventilate it? not trying to sound smart just want to make sure I dont ruin it?

    seriously, don't put it in a box. Just make sure it isn't cramped in a small TV cabinet or anything. If you have an open shelf somewhere do that, and give it some space away from other heat sources (TV, DVD, Cablebox, Stereo, etc.). That's the best you can do, don't worry if you get the RRoD, you send it in and Microsoft refurbishes it free of charge with a warranty.
