    Maybe he just did not have time to find a vial of the cure. He used the ones he had on Magneto.

    As for "doctor X" and "mantooth" in the first film I do not think he could control Magneto as easily as he did Sabertooth. Magneto wore the helmet to keep his thoughts from being read.

    He said, why didn't he use Sabertooth (at least it should be Sabertooth) to remove Magneto's helmet, then invade his mind.

    That is my point. Sabertooth is a simpleton that Professor X could easily control. Magneto on the otherhand is not and while the helment may be necessary to keep Professor X from reading his thoughts he probably can not be as easily controlled as Sabertooth.
