    I feel the Christian Religion was created by man to make man feel better about dying..... Mankind deems themselves sooooooooooo frigging important that they cannot think they can ever die and that be IT! Nah! They feel they must go on to live in some other world in the sky where all things are great and wonderful...... Yeah Right!

    i think that's a bit simplistic. religion does more than just comfort those who lose a loved-one or give peace to those who realize the inevitability of death.

    no need to single out christianity here, either. i think all religions are born essentially from the same womb. not that they're related, per se, just that they serve the same purpose for people.

    my personal belief is that religions in general are folklore and mythology that's built up around a societal code of conduct. i think human societies flourish when the members tend to believe a particular set of ideals (namely, that you can trust your neighbor) so it's only natural that religions that share those ideals would result in flourishing societies.

    it's darwin on the social level. instead of mutation, you need prophets. and while there are probably tens of thousands of these prophets that have come and gone only a relative few religions have stuck. only, when they don't stick they're not called religions, they're called cults. and they typically end poorly.

    I can only speak from my perspective Doll;

    Christianity, is treated differently by each personal believer. Some may think___is ok while other may think it's a sin. I as a human try to make a difference, some days it's astounding, others it can be quite dim. Others may disagree; but I feel our point here on earth is to learn and then move forward.

    I am by no means degrading your statement. I personally would not be here right now, without my belief in God. Some people that I know will curse God for all they can think of, and then pray for thier loved one's to heal.

    Happiness comes from within, however that is achieved is up to the individual.
    You have to find what fits in your life. And most of all if you do not believe in anything else, believe in yourself.~

    That's okay, because it's just what you think, not reality.
    It was created by God, revealed in Jesus Christ, which the things he did on earth, inlcuding his reserection from the tumb, are proven FACTS.
    And yes, mankind is important to God, which is why we should hold life much more dearer then we do.
    For many people would be easier to believe they are accountable to no one but themselves and die like a flower does. So your statement doesn't hold water.

    Why do people who don't believe say "X" tians? Is that cause you don't want to say Christ? is that your sorta way of putting christians down? Don't you know that the "X" stands for the Cross?

    If you feel that then you are pretty ignorant of history. Jesus lived and preached much of what he was given credit for. The Christian religion wasn't "invented". It may have evolved but to what extent is arguable.
