A friend of mine let me borrow his X box 360. For some reason I am not getting any picture or sound when I turn it on. I'm pretty sure I have it hooked up correctly, it's not that difficult and I've hooked up other game systems before. I made sure the switch on the connector was on TV instead of HDTV. I don't think I have to pit the tv on any particlular channel, do I? I don't have the box or instructions so i cant check that. I'm probably overlooking something simple, but any help i could get would eb apprecaited.

    Check channel 3

or try looking where you hooked it up written above the red yellow and white plugs, something like LINE # , VIDEO # there should be a way to get to those channels via a button labeled INPUT/SOURCE/TV/VIDEO on the remote to the set.

tried that too...I guess it could be the cable itself...I'm going to buy a new one on the way home and see if that works.

See if you can get a used one at GameStop. A little cheaper, plus they still have like a 30 warranty. Its a cable if it works day 1 it'll work day 30. Assuming you don't beat the hell outta it.

Are you sure you flipped the switch on the Component cables from HD to SD?
