Ok Piper, tell me more about Washington. Since I was focusing on DT and RB when I watched Tenn. last year, I don't remember him much. All I know is what I have read, which is that he is big and fast. How are his hands and routes, is he quick out of his cuts, etc..

As for other WR's, I tend to like Williams as well (mainly because I know more about him), but TFY said that between Williams, Washington, Andre Johnson, and Charles Rogers, that Rogers is the best pro prospect. What does anyone know about him? I know he has good size, but is he a speed guy or more of a possession receiver, or a combination?

Washington is good, probably the most physically able WR in the draft. Physically demanding player at 6'3, 225 or so. Very Plaxico Burress...able, and willing to stick his head in there some, but I feel like he'll struggle his first year. Kinda old for a sophomore. Still, that size, speed (pro day was a 4.31) will keep people from worrying too much about his cockiness and slight sloppiness.

Andre Johnson is awfully similar...roughly same measurables, very raw, very talented playmaker. Basically just a tick slower and a bit younger. You might remember him from the championship game last year - Keyou Craver will remember him, that's for sure.

Charlie Rogers of Michigan State is pretty much consensus #3 WR, and Williams usually holds somewhat of an edge over Washington right now in ratings overall. Kiper has Rogers #1, Washington's Reggie Williams as #2. WTF?

Rogers, likewise, is 6'4, but 205, not very physical. If you were to take a player like Williams as Rice (game breaker but somewhat solid player), Rogers is more akin to a Tim Brown or Freeman.

Interesting side note: looking for last year's info, I found a Kirk Herbstreit article naming the top five of various things in NCF:
he rated Peppers as the #1 intimidator. He rated Foster as the #1 game breaker.

I prefer Williams over any other receiver because I just feel like he is the most complete, most mature, most ready, and probably as athletic as any player coming out as well.

Problem is, I feel like it's gonna be us, possibly Detroit, and definately Texans looking for receiver that high. I can't see us placing lower than the Lions, and probably not the Texans.

Oh...and Lee Evans of Wisconsin can practice again. Evans was as good a receiver as any last year despite his average size and speed last year, and would be a steal in the 2nd, but will probably fall there because of the level of player that will go high first.
