Maybe we can get Fasani some lead cleats, so he will have to make some reads and pocket decisions.

    >> That's what makes the board interesting. But I said I'd give it a shot.

and i enjoy all. i'm just fishing with my question.

    >> I just think our wide outs might have looked better if our quarterbacks had more time to let patterns develop rather than rushing throws. And I think that there's no question that the running game that was to be the foundation of our offence would have benifited from better blocking.

and those statements could be turned around

Kind of like the arguement about our defensive backs prior to last draft. Peppers or Jammer. What position is needed worse. A solid pass rush makes any DB look better and the 02 Panthers proved that point beyond and point. We need play makers plain and simple. You can get servicable OL men via free agency (see Brockermeyer) but teams tend to retain true play makers or draft them. I would love to get Andre Johnson at 1 but realistically how often does a WR make a huge splash in the first year? Moss, Stallworth maybe another that I am missing. He has everything IMO. Heres hoping we get him and he makes some noise

No. I think we need a veteran QB to resurrect this offense. A rookie QB running around with the deer-in-the-headlights look isn't going to provide the kind of leadership we need when we've got the ball. I think we all expect a lot of turnover on the offensive side of the ball, and we need a solid vet to accelerate the gelling process.

I'd reach for Boller after Trufant, probably above the linemen or Jacobs. But I'm high on him anyway, probably have him ranked 17th or so overall now that he's done well in the Senior Bowl. But I haven't really redone my board lately.

Your right, I'm thinking Simms is ahhh (Ryan Leaf but more mature), Ragone, he is Fasani with more college snaps.

Leftwich will continue his injury bug in the NFL... Palmer will be gone... gotta go DB with the first pick.

If Leftwich is still there @ 9, you'd still go DB?

The only thing that holds me back with Left is my perception that he will be an injury bug in the NFL. I have nothing against him. If he is there in the 2nd (doubtful) then yea, perhaps.

I know this is kind of our of your area, but if Charles Rodgers were to fall into the third round as well, do you take him???????
