NC State or UVA came a knocking?

If he has a solid year this year and wins a couple in the tournament, some school is opening their pocketbook...

    Just my personal opinion....

No way in hell NC State comes calling. We have to somehow learn to play with Duke and UNC on a consistent basis. The knock on Herb is his inconsistentcy. I think if Herb leaves they will aim a little higher than trading one inconsistent coach for another. Lutz is at a school now thats happy "just making the tourney". Well Herb got that pass a couple of years ago, when they made the tourney. Now the natives are restless because they didn't advance last year. How many times has Lutz been without advancing?? And hes still has genius status among Dick Vitale, Jay Bilas, Katz, Stan Olsen, etc etc. The ACC is a tough way to make a living. Lutz better just stay where hes at. Ask Pete Gillan

Why would he want to go to State other than the whole "ACC is God" thing?

Why would he want to stay at uncc who is moving to the a-10? I think someone comes after him this year. I think he is as good as gone.

I agree the A-10 isn't the greatest place but this same conversation is held just about every year Lutz has been at Charlotte. Never say never but I think he'll stay. I'm a little more worried about Clemson, since Lutz actually went there.

I doubt that, they just signed on Oliver Purnell last year.

I have to agree somewhat with DaveW on this one. You're leaving a good conference with the likes of Marquette, Louisville and Cincy to play teams like Xavier, Dayton and St. Joes. I'm not even sure if the A-10 will get two teams into the big dance.

But on the other hand, I agree with Bunky too, he'll have to weigh options. I am sure he would have no problem recruiting at NCSU or UVA.

I would love for him to stay but this year presents him the greatest opportunity since every thing else is falling into place...ie UVA and NCSU sucking.

Oh I don't know. Maybe a beautiful arena,Tradition (Uh notice the TWO NCAA banners hanging up in the rafters) Rabid as hell fan base that is starved to go back to the sweet 16's, elite 8's, and final fours. And oh yes...the chance to compete night in night out with the greatest coaches and teams in the country. Your a dumbass if you don't think this is a prime BB job. Now that being said I, TurdFerguson, have as much of a chance at coaching the Pack after Sendek as Bobby Lutz.
