Another vote for Rae. Chuck was just a FA bust whose knee gave out. Rae had his life in front of him, and threw his life away, destroying another in the proccess.

rae was a bust, too, really. to me, he and smith (and gilbert somewhat) screwed the panthers up because of their lack of production vs. investment.

When I think of worst starters, gotta go with Floyd, what a waste.

    Collins

    Worst off-field player: Rae Carruth.
Worst Panther player on and off the field: Kerry Collins.

My worst moment as a Panther fan is when Collins "quit", and left for New Orleans. It punctuated the lowest season we've ever had.

This season, the feeling was, "hey, we know we suck. we're working to get better. we can be a good team if we mature a little."

In 1998, the feeling was, "We were one game away from the superbowl in 96, we're supposed to be winners. Now everything is falling apart. Our starting quarterback has flipped out, we are thin in a dozen places, and our coach is on the brink of getting fired."

I think the best way to win consistently is to cut deadwood, forget what we think we are "owed", and find passion for performing at a peak level. Even if we are behind 30-0, I want the idiots at Fox sports saying, "Wow, they sure are fighting to the bitter end to score points."

You know you lose games like that most of the time. But its the one, or two, or three games you win because you don't quit that get you into the playoffs.
