Work Continues on Getting RFK ready for the 'Nats

Things are moving quite well at RFK to get the stadium ready for the first 'Nats game in early April. You can see the infield outline (hmmmm, they are going with the full diamond vs. cutouts . . I thought they would go with the former considering that the MLS United will stay play games their during baseball season) and the outfield fence is starting to be built. The 3rd base ('Nats) dugout is still being worked on. I think the grass will go in sometime this week. I hope it has enough time to take root and grow properly (again, I thought they might've gone with the fake grass vs. real; That outfield grass is going to get torn up being uplifted and put down all the time when RFK has to go from baseball to soccer field and vice versa. The lower seats swivel around like Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego).

Bump . . . RFK Renovations Close to being done

 

Man, I wish the expos had been able to afford keeping Vlad, maybe then I'd have a reason to care.

 

We're doing the pads for it, and they just cant seem to get their shit together up there. It'll be a push to get things ready for opening day. No idea if they've got a contengency plan yet.
