This guy kills us, so i thought that this was neat:

What stood out most about my visit with the Panthers
Actually, not what but who. First-round pick Julius Peppers is truly a freak, maybe even more than The Freak. In fact, as crazy as this might sound, he reminds me of Tiki Barber.

Sounds crazy? One of the offensive coaches says Peppers reminds him of Barry Sanders. He doesn't have the feet of a lineman, he has the feet of a scat back.

On one play during the team's Sunday afternoon practice, Peppers was jaw-dropping. He ran through starting right tackle Chris Terry, barely touching him, for what would have been a sack.

His quickness up, inside, then up again to the QB was unlike anything I have ever seen and apparently I was not alone. His veteran teammates could be heard whooping and hollering after some of these unreal rushes.

I've seen some very good ones in person, but I've never seen anything like this. That's not to say he's going to the Pro Bowl, but if he doesn't it will be because of something other than his athletic ability.

"He's as athletic at that position as anyone I have ever seen in football," Fox said. "You saw him do that in just a few days. It's like that every single day. He does something like that to blow you away every practice."

He may have Barry Sanders type games. He may get handled repeatedly, but then make some amazing plays throughout the game with his athletic ability. I’m juiced.

yeah, I have already stated I expect him to get a touchdown in some form this year.

I'm starting to feel more positive toward feelings of using Peppers in space. Between the various descriptions of Peppers so far, I think I'd much rather take my chances with him blowing past a lineman and taking on a back.

What I'm looking foward to the most isn't the spetacular plays Peppers will make, but the attention he will draw. I think he will make everyone around him better, and play makers will come in all forms.

Peppers might not be the one scoring TD's, but no doubt his presence could force a few.

I'm excited too, but cautious. You guys above here know more about the ins and outs of camp than I do. But tell me this, right now, is our offensive line designing schemes to handle Mr. Peppers? Or are the basically just doing the drills? He is obviously a gifted athlete that could have been a nice "Rodman" type NBA player, only with finesse.

Being a heel fan there were several games this year where I wondered... where is Peppers?

This reminds me of that guy at char.com who recently said he wanted us to hand the ball off to Peppers on goal line situations. Maybe he wasn’t delirious after all . . . .

    okay, yes he was. )

It was a one on one drill. I doubt we will see too much scheming until he earns some respect, so he may see some one on one looks. And if they start using a Tight End or back to double team Peppers, so much the better.

Once Peppers makes a few big plays in one-on-one blocking schemes, D's will start to script blocking against him. All that will do is open the door for Jenkins, Gilbert and Morgan in the middle. I like how we have our playmakers spread out. Gilbert could really have a good year when teams start to focus on Peppers on the edge.
A DE isn't expected to make EVERY play, but if Peppers manages to make a couple big plays a game, opposing teams will take notice and begin to gameplan for him. That's when Del Rio will start throwing the kitchen sink at them.

yeah, we've rarely had an honest dedicated second person dedicated to a player in pass blocking. It's usually either area blocking or varied and almost random assignments.

With Peppers' athleticism you expect that the easiest way to keep double teams from being effective deals with stunting (a few outside/inside moves into double blocking, then an outside stop move to a drop step and burst toward the A gap ) would be very, very effective.
It only takes once or twice to get pressure before teams pay big attention to a name guy.
