I don't like the sound of this... "If it costs us $20 million to go to another conference, we're not going to another conference. We would not do anything financially harmful to our (non-revenue programs). We're not going to cut anybody's budget." I can only hope everyone just lets others out and new schools in.

    49ers, CUSA closer to breakup

what piss'd me off was he was not available for contact. I would like to think if the Observer was kind enough to write a story, the old man could call Laye on a cell phone. That article meant one thing, CUSA is gonna let everyone off easy to jump ship.

All the conferences I think would have to do that. Just let everyone move where to can and start over fresh as far withdrawals in the future. Paying to get out and payment for entry in a new conference will further put college athletics in trouble.

It's not as costly as it could have been...but sounds like they are meeting more in the middle. Will not hold teams to the lost TV revenues but will lose out on the NCAA appearance money. I was hoping to get some of that pot.

maybe if the A10 wants us bad enough, we can negotiate some of the lost revenue with them. From everything I see, they are stoked about getting us.

If not, be prepared for a another increase in tickets. Student fees aren't going to cover this one.
