    Yeah, before 16-19, the Heels were like 11 of 12 or something like that. The first Duke win in a long time in that series was Wojo's last home game where Brand spurred the huge second half comeback.

    Hey, Hubert Davis is the one that said it, not me. Last time UNC won back to back games against Duke was in the '95-'96 season a decade ago so he wasn't that far off. And Felton, May and McCants were 2-5 against Duke.

    I think it was the year before that. It was the game at Cameron that put the heels at 3-5 in the ACC (the year Carolina started 0-3). 1997 it was, I believe. (We all know what happened from that point on) At the time, the Duke loss was viewed (by me) as a mild annoyance.

    You may be right. Seems like we did steal one during our 'play no one over 6'5 and gun three's' phase. The game in 98 was the one I remember as turning the tide however, as we were blown out in CH that year and another half from being blown out in Durham. Next year was 99, and we know what happened there ;)

    this 16 of 19 stretch wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that carolina doesn't allow players of questionable character on their team, while dook does, would it?

    face facts....jameson curry was told to hit the highway, while SheWon't was allowed to matriculate at dook even after being thrown off of his HS team for rape.

    Too bad he didn't play in the ACC, perhaps we wouldn't have gone 19-0.

    Duke players are choir boys compared to UNC's program. It's a miracle no one has been arrested this season for UNC so far, and JamesOn wasn't just pedaling out a couple of grams to his friends. He was one of the biggest pot dealers in Alamance County. I agree with Williams' decision to let him go. God, that kid was an idiot.
