Which is what we'd have if the draft were today, do we take Jameis Winston if he's available and let Cam walk in 2016? Frees up about $14m or so in cap space over next 4 years....

I still like Cam but is he a guy you want to commit $18m/yr to for the next 6 years?

No way in fucking hell we are drafting outside of the top 10 by December. This one's going down the shitter.

And Winston. No way JR signs off on him with all that baggage.

I have a hard time imagining there are ten teams worse than the Panthers.

Fuck no to Winston. I want back to back Offensive linemen like 2 years ago when we went Star and Short

We probably pick 3rd or 4th. Jax and Oakland going some form of 1/2.

We'll draft right where all the superstars at our positions of need have been snapped up. So we'll grab a fairly productive above average player.

If Cam gets his shit together and we beat Atlanta going into the bye, I'll still be very interested and invested in the final five games.

If we don't, I'll start looking at which defensive linemen Gettleman might select with our first five picks.

I wouldn't touch Winston with a ten foot pole. Obviously he has major personality question marks, but I'm not impressed with him as a player either. I think he busts in the NFL.

And while I hate to tell you guys who want an offensive lineman, it's going to be a defensive end. Surprisingly, I'm down with that. Hardy isn't coming back and CJ is getting cut, plus you can address offensive line more efficiently in free agency than you can defensive end. The good news is that it's a pretty deep position in the upcoming draft. I haven't bothered to review any of the guys, but from various lists it appears that Randy Gregory of Nebraska, Shawn Oakman of Baylor, Shane Ray of Missouri, Shilique Calhoun of Michigan State, and Dante Fowler Jr. of Florida are the ones to watch. Carolina won't pick high enough for Leonard Williams.

How much cap space does it free up to cut this overpaid dinosaur ?
(also, on same subject, what would the Deangelo hit be as well)
