what brand of wireless router are you using? do you have any secuirty set up, like WEP or WPA?

with the little that you have told us we dont have much to go on. what are the symptoms.
can you pick up the wireless signal, if you can are you getting an IP address from the router.

if you are using a linksys router there is sometimes an issue with a WEP key that has been generated by the router. basically what it does is allows you to connect with one wireless device only.

My office laptop will not work on my home internet either. Enter the key and it fails. I think it just old tech. I am wireless G at home. Whatever that means. Hooked up the wife's new Macbook and bam linked right up.

in regards to your home laptop not picking up an IP address, you will need to ask your IT department, they may have only allowed specific computers to connect to their network. they should have the ability to disallow MAC addresses for computers.

in regards to what I read "Y2B" what I saw was that you were able to connect with other computers but not wirelessly with one laptop. you didn't mention whether or not you were if you were able to get an IP address. does it say "limited or no connectivity" in the bottom right corner of your task bar?

the reason I asked what type of wireless router you are using is because there is a known bug with some of the linksys routers. if you are using WEP security and you have the router generate your WEP key, for some reason it will only allow one wireless device to connect. what I have had to do is remove the router generated WEP key and create my own. what will solve the known bug for linksys routers.

Trace the above issue may help you resolve your connectivity issues as well.
