What do you look for in a good chicken wing and who makes the best.

Spicyness, Crispiness, Fattyness, Size of the wing?

Personal favorite as far as restaurants goes is the Arizona Ranch and the Golden Garlic at Quaker Steak and Lube.

The ideal wing is meaty, tender, and covered in a good sauce. Not a big fan of the Sweet BBQ sauces, but most others I like. Not too hot that I can only taste the first three, but not so mild that you don't get a good lip burn. Served with Ranch dressing with celery to munch on if the burn factor is a little high.

Any kind except those deep fried, breaded Hooter's wings. :barf2:

    The naked ones are OK.

Personally I like them 'hot'...medium crispy to crispy but not overcooked. When I make them at home, I trim the loose skin away so they won't be fatty. I try to buy the wings that are medium in size. Large wings, like a lot of restaurants serve, are just too meaty for me. I don't know who's are the best anymore because it seems every place serves them these days. But waaayyyy back in time when I first started eating them there was a place called SRO's (Standing Room Only) in the Tyvola Mall that had about the best I've ever eaten. That place has been gone for years now.

Breaded buffalo wings should be illegal.

Gotta agree naked Wings are better than breaded. There are some OK breaded wings out there, but I wouldn't rank them anywhere near the naked wings in terms of quality.

When I said meaty wings I wasn't specific... Large Wings wasn't what I meant... I was referring to less fat and gristle.

Werd. Don't be a pussy and not get the Jalapeno ones. Huge and hot.

Personally give me wings that are not breaded, and hot. Teriyaki wings or even the BBQ wings I have seen (BBQ sauce) suck. If you want fried wings then go to Bo's. Wings are supposed to be Buffalo style.
