Windows XP Pro bootup problem

    I am going to start over from scratch. The problem is that I think that the primary boot drive is the one going bad, so I am going to need to boot from a floppy and set up the drive I want to be the new primary. I'm going to take the 2 I don't want back to compusa and exchange them for a new cpu, memory, & motherboard this weekend. I should be all set after that.

    The good thing is that I got all my files off of the old drives.

    That'll work. Um, you can setup XP from a CD, you know. No floppies necessary.

    I need to reformat the hard drive though. I think have to do that from the floppy.

    When you boot to window xp setup from the cd you can format the drive you have and then have windows xp install on it.

    You when you set it up I'd delete the entire partition and reformat it. Unless you just want to I wouldn't bother with resizing it though.
