I think the fan on my power supply is about shot. I am hearing an occassional slower deeper pronounced noise from my box as opposed to the usual hum. At newegg most of the power supplies start at 380 watt and up. Being as the box is 2 years old would 500 watt be a safe guess?

what is your current wattage? unless you're planning on throwing some big new graphics card in there, no point in going bigger.

I thought my fan was going out. making a slower noise and not much air coming out...and a lot warmer. bought a can of computer safe AIR for 8.00(what a bargain) and cleaned my computer. opened it up, took off the heat sink cover and cleaned the shit out of the whole thing. fans, boards, everything. couldnt believe how much dust was in there as its only 2+ years old. closed it up ,pluged it back in and its like a brand new cpu. fans sound normal again, cool air blowing out and the whole thing seems to run better.
