Southern Cal is ranked atop every poll that I have seen. Experts say and even Pete Carrol agrees that this is his most talented team. I can't see anyone in the SLAC10 beating them. I don't see anyone from the SEC or the ACC going undefeated so maybe they don't get a shot at the title. The Big East may have either W Virginia or Louisville win em all. I think Texas has a great shot at going perfect so for what it's worth my BCS National Championship match up is SoCal and Texas.

Cal is the trendy choice to have a shot. They play the Trojans at home late in the season. Before Socal goes to Berkley they play Oregon and Oregon State back to back I believe. Cal has to show they can beat Tennessee after that ass whipping they took last year in Knoxville. If USC goes to Cal undefeated as they almost certainly will it will be one of the games of the year. UCLA always has a shot regardless of the record. Still, SC runs the table and plays for the crown. I don't like them but Carrol is getting better athletes than anyone else in the nation.

I agree that they're strong, but the preseason favorite rarely ends up the champion. Because there is no playoff, any slip up during the regular season can cripple your chances, and it's always hard to go undefeated in football.

They've got a strong team and Carroll almost seems to have recruited 5 HS All-American's at every position. Cal will be the only test in conference although they haven't done much vs the Trojans in the past past few years. The BCS game will probably be the toughest game they have all season and I'm hoping LSU gets a shot at them.

I think LSU will get knocked off during the season, maybe more than once. It's hell to go through the SEC without a loss. Even Florida couldn't do it last year.

I agree in everything except college football. The polls still have somewhat of a bearing on who gets a shot the ring.

That's what I mean. USC is the team to beat already and they haven't played a game. That sucks.

    One thing to remember

Do to the way the polls are currently figured into the BCS series, USC actually has a better chance than anybody right now because an early season loss or even a midseason loss does not knock them out of the championship. Polls suck because you limp back into the picture if you are a traditional powerhouse even after you suffer a loss. I realize Florida won last year because of this and I am a fan of SEC football, but Boise should have got a shot at Ohio State. Most years this is a joke, but they proved me wrong in their bowl game and I would have liked for them to have had the opportunity to take a shot at least at being 1#. Now that being said, it is darn near impossible to go through the SEC undefeated. USC's path is a little easier.
