Will the State fans accept

that they aren't that good and that Amato is an average coach? I try not to say much about them but their fans have been unbearable of late...I work with a buttload of NCS grads and to hear them talk you would think that they are on par with FSU, Miami, Oklahoma blah blah blah!!! Their message boards are as bad. It's OK to be optimistic but DAYUM! They need to get on par with Maryland, Clemson and Wake before they start mentioning themselves in that higher group!

You have to finish higher than 4th in your own conference, which they haven't done under Amato, before you're more than just average.

O.K. that's true. I'm a Noles fan and until Rix is gone, they have enough problems.

 

I'm not ripping on Mathmajors...You're not silly in your comments...But most of the State fans I know talk about the Wolfpack program as if it's a national championship calibre team. Maybe the fellas I know talk smack because they know I can't say anything but the message boards are as bad - especially the Rivals and Wolfpacker boards. I really feel like the Wolfies are looking at 6 losses this year. One of those could be in Chapel Hill!

 

Yeah, y'all need a change there.

Right now I'll take what I can get with Chuck. He's brought in a lot of money, a lot of good players, and eventually, I think he'll figure this coaching thing out. I mean, this IS his first head coaching job.

3rd would be nice, though.

 

I know you're not. The State board I frequent is rife with nimrods wanting to bench Jay Davis. They are so short-sighted it's embarassing.

 

I think Davis will be fine. He'll get better as the year goes. They have good backs and wideouts. The defense has been the problem for the past four years.
