Bunting will be there for atleast 2 more years. Injuries and the loss of 10 starters off of last years team has hurt. I was not a big Durant fan, but his absence is bigger than I thought. I really believe the tough early schedule has hurt the confidence of this team too. I love the fact taht JB wants to play people, but the personel on this team aint equipped to handle it. The recruiting class is coming along nicely, and yes, you can recruit well and still suck - UVA did it last year. They pulled in a top 10 class and they were horrible last season. I'm not sure I like Huxtable as the DC either. Maybe a change should be made there. On a positive note, the Blue/White game, from what i'm hearing, was very exciting. It looks like David Noel may be the biggest steal in the country. 20+ points and 14 Reb. Jawad Williams with 30 and McCants with 36. Sean May is still resting the banged up knee and didn't play. I'm hearing this team is very quick and even more athletic.

    Low points

    From Andrew Jones, Inside Carolina...
Reaching new low points is beginning to become a common practice for the North Carolina Tar Heels. Perhaps a simple punt play with six minutes left in the first half best describes what this UNC team has become.

On fourth-and-eight from its own 48-yard-line, Tar Heels' punter John Lafferty booted the ball just 29 yards to Maryland's Steve Suter, who danced through UNC's coverage 77 yards for a touchdown to put the Terrapins up 24-7. Adding to Carolina's miserable reality is that the Heels were flagged for three different penalties on the play: Illegal procedure, a halo violation, and a personal foul.

He will not be fired for 3 reasons...

    1. Other head coaches were given more time to suck. (Its to soon)
    2. The his or not player deal...
    3. SEC fans may not admit it, but the most dominate conference in College basketball is becoming a better football conference. The FSU effect is taking place, teams are getting better in the ACC.

He won't last long losing like they are right now. He will probably be the coach next year - but a rah rah guy just isn't always enough. They are getting absolutely destoryed lately and it is just unacceptable IMO.

Pretty soon they will be able to compete with Temple.

    The ACC is getting better.

  10. You're right - the ACC is getting better. I think they even have the same number of teams in the Top 15 of the BCS as the vaunted SEC...two...
