whoever drafts him will get his rights until 2004...at that time, he can re-enter the draft. he is hitting 170 right now, hit around 250 last year...not quite living up to his 17 mil contract. My guess is if he continues to struggle, the yanks will gladly let him out of his contract.

Mighty Brain Millen has already said he'd draft him if he's there on day 2, but most other teams will be thinking the same thing. If you've got an extra 4, I'd say it is worth the gamble...IMO...he could have been the number one player drafted if he did enter the draft instead of going to baseball.

    Saw this on kffl

Lions | Make Take a Chance On Henson - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
6:07 PT: The Detroit Free Press reports Detroit Lions president Matt Millen said Tuesday the team might take a chance on former Michigan QB Drew Henson on the second day of the NFL Draft.

Is Millen just stupid or what? I just had a thought, maybe Al Davis and Matt Millen are really father and son. That would explain the stupidity of those two!:D

Sorry, Boo, I just realized you posted just about the same thing I did. Forgive me, I had an Al Davis moment!;)

I think he'd use his supplemental 7th rounder....chances are, 7th rounders are long shots to make the roster anyways.

I bet he goes in round 4 or 5....it's got spurrier written all over it.
