Jay Glazer reports for SportsLine.com the Carolina Panthers are about to place WR Anthony Bright (beaten up) on their practice squad-IR list. As previously noted, Bright received a broken nose by a pair of punches from fellow WR Steve Smith after Bright asked the coaches to rewind and replay a particular play Smith got wrong in last week's loss.

From that, we don't know if he was trying to say "Look at that Steve, you ain't all that" or if he just wanted to see it again because he wanted to understand it fully.

On the Panthers Huddle today (yep, I get that down here) the interview with Byrd, he emphazied he felt bad for Anthony. Anthony does everything right. Anthony Bright is the one that lost and he couldn't say what he really wanted because he'd get in trouble.

As for Steve, Byrd said "He'll get whatever, I have no control over that"

Fox mentioned he'd like to save Smith if he could, he was a talent. They didn't talk about Bright.

I want to know if was a sucker punch or if they had words and went face to face and Smith got the best of him. Argueing and standing up to someone is one thing, but just going off on somebody is different. Which was it?
