Why does everyone love the Bears?

    I bet they finish 3rd in their division this year. Last year they played a bunch of scrub teams with no offense. Whenever they played a team with a solid offense their defense looked like shit.

    3rd in their division? Hard to see that. The Vikings might give them a run but the Packers are rebuilding and the Lions, well they are the Lions.

    I agree they will play a lot harder schedule but like the above mention they are at worst the second best team in that division.

    They won a lot of games with Orton starting last year. This year it should be either Greise or Grossman which is a lot better than Orton. They have Moose and some decent running backs. They should be decent this year. They did have an odd draft though.

    I'll always have a soft spot for them since they were my team before the Panthers, but unlike others I always pull for the Panthers no matter what. I think they have some pieces of the puzzle, but still have holes to fill. Of course everything with any team is speculation - last year TBR and other boards convinced me over time that the Panthers would be world beaters yet they frequently struggled even in victories - are WE going to be better this year? I think so, but that and $2.83 will get you one gallon of gas 2 miles down the road.

    Who on earth thought they would have the success they did last year? I think they could be a 10-6 team.

    Lovie Smith has put together a good defense up there. It is not a threat to the '85 unit but it is solid. I think they found out they needed more help at corner and drafted it. Honestly though no defense in the league can stop Steve Smith unless they game plan for him. 10-6 would be a good bet on them.
