Why can't shitty owners just stop being shitty?

It was a fucking fire sale. I’m not excusing anything Jerry did behind the scenes. But, it was right at the apex of the MeToo movement. And to be honest, he had no real transition plan.

It was between the quiet rich dude from Charleston and the obnoxious rich dude from Pittsburgh. And, that other annoying guy that runs the 76ers. I still think Dave was the most viable of those three options. But again, you have to start winning games at some point.

But that’s no reason to blindly trust the new guy. I get fans want to have hope. Ownership needs to provide that hope before fans can start buying in. Otherwise, it’s just marketing and noise.

 

I also look forward to him sounding off on politics as the election approaches, which he will, because he's a loud idiot who can't help himself.

 

I wish Bill owned the Panthers.

 

Also: notice how the teams that are always in the Super Bowl never really talk about analytics. They’re too busy winning fucking games. The only people that continue to obsessively talk about analytics are the teams that aren’t fucking winning any meaningful games.

Analytics is a meaningless, hollow word. Bill and Ernie Adams have been doing that for decades. They just don’t call it that, because they’re not fucking posers.

 

Belichick pays attention to analytics plus 10,000 other things. Most people in the NFL don't have his IQ, attention span, or work ethic.

By the way, from what I’m hearing, you’re probably getting some new uniforms soon. I know a guy, but I’m not gonna put that out there on Twitter, because I’m not a fucking douche. Just keep an eye on that. It’s probably going to happen pretty soon. So get the fuck over it.

Nike either goes ugly modern or ultra minimalist. They're a lot like Tepper, actually. They don't know how to just make an attractive product and stay out of the way. It's a match made in hell.
