Why aren't there more 'mixed' churches?

SEE that's how we were at our church in CA, and you sure can learn a lot swapping or having their church over to visit. Like how to "get into" your worship more. I could never go to a traditional church anymore. Singing hymns like your half dead. When I go to church I like to Praise God and get excited. Just like people do at football games.

A good sermon or sunday school lesson is more important to me. I value content over style if you will.

The congregation I was raised in was interracial. This was in Louisiana so I don't think culture had much to do with it. Dig it. I think it more depends on the religion and the leaders of such. I must say, it didn't help much with race relations. Black or white, people either like you or they don't, but there's still that inkling of racism going on.

I remember I was at a Bible study at a black woman's home and after most of the group left my mother and I hung around to visit. I was offered an apple and refused simply because I wasn't hungry. The black woman said "why? because a black person offered it to you?" I was young and thought it strange her saying that, especially since we had attended the same meetings for years together.

Black people are just too fucking loud for me to be around. I can handle a few at a time, but not a whole posse.

I grew up Catholic, it's a lot quieter than most are used to. St. Thomas Aguinas in University Area has a lot more "color" than the church in New Hampshire where I lived as a kid.
