This PC crap has ended in my world ... wish it would end in the rest of the world. I'll celebrate what I like, thank you very much.

 

Truth be told, I don't know of anyone in real life who is causing or participating in this so called culture war. Everyone I know is pretty easygoing about the holidays/Christmas/Kwanza/Yule etc. Everything I hear about it is from the media.

 

Bill OReilly is the worse thing to happen to Christmas since the Easter Bunny.

Maybe people are afraid of the conflict that could come up because of religious symbols. And they are afraid of things they don't know and/or understand. And in the US there also is a really strict separation of state and religion(s) afaik.

 

People are afraid of lawsuits. Life in the US is pretty good, compared to most parts of the world. No matter what you read on this board, etc there is a reason we have immigration problems and people still risk their lives to get onto US soil. Thus, people have more time/freedom to bitch/sue about stupid stuff like symbols and hot coffee. I blame the lawyers.
