A flyball pitcher, ***** has been a fairly effective reliever (used primarily as a closer). His K/IP isn't great, but he doesn't walk many (4 of the 10 BB at A+ were intentional). I think he may have problems with HR and XBH as he moves up the ladder. We'll see. Probably will start '97 in Lynchburg with a midseason promotion to Carolina likely.

LOL, I saw that report a long time ago, but can't remember the author. the funny thing is, is that it is big time wrong on one count, I was a ground ball pitcher big time. I think that came of a fan web site if I remember right. everything else looks correct.

I played 2 season in the minors 95/96 and did really good at all three single A levels. I went to spring training in my 3rd year, 1997, expecting to play AA, and got cut. Never made much sense, made a minor league all star team in 96. I ain't 6-4 and couldn't throw over 90 mph. 5-11" with a 89 mph fastball aint shit. put up some great numbers though.

    Gotcha!!

That's cool that you played in the minors for a few years. I never understood why it's so hard to list an athlete's true height. Charles Barkley's height gets mixed up more than anybody else.

Did you play with or against anybody in the minors that has turned out to be a huge star in the bigs?
