    It is commonly believed that the prostitute described in Luke 1:36-37 who came from behind and could not look upon the face of Jesus, but knelt and washed his feet with her tears..was the Mary Magdalene..of Luke 2:8..but there is no proof of that.

    You probably remember hearing these two women referenced together in sermons, because of the love and devotion of Mary Magdalene. I too have heard some preachers link the two women and conjecture they are the same..but scriptures do not offer any proof.
