Steve Buscemi would whip ass as Bond. Actually, anyone from The Reservoir Dogs would make a good Bond.

if fucking hugh jackman is the next bond, they might as well retire the series. It's already been ruined because it tries to out do the Triple X's and vin diesels of the action genre. It's stupid how it has become all about the explosions and less about actual storylines. Even if Jackman did become bond, i'd be able to live with it if it didn't blow ass. The way the scripts have been lately, they might as well go for Dolph Lungren or some assclown like that. The bond movies have gone hollywood.

I think they've always been about Hollywood in some respects, but yeah, the last few have been really over the top.

    Here's a name I didn't expect:

BEIJING, Aug. 2 (Xinhuanet) -- Australian actor Eric Bana, who starred in the epic blockbuster Troy, is the surprise new choice to be the next James Bond, reported CRIENGLISH.com. The beefy beat off competition from the other main contenders Jude Law and Ewan McGregor to take over the role of the super-spy in the long-running series of films.

Bana is still negotiating with the series producers but they are hopeful he will become the sixth actor to play the smooth Bond.

A popular comedian in Australia, Eric Bana appeared in a string of US blockbusters, most recently playing Hector in the swords-and-sandals epic Troy.

If he accepts the role, Bana will be the second Australian to play Bond, after George Lazenby starred in On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

The James Bond films, based on the novels of Ian Fleming, have proved hugely successful ever since Sean Connery starred in the first Bond movie Dr No in 1962.

The next Bond film will be the 21st in the series.
