When a person is being paid anywhere near what Sendek was, they should be producing. Was he producing? Yeah, I guess he was. He produced a dull product, fan attendance fell, and obviously the fan base didn't support the coach. Simple as that. If he couldn't take the heat and had to leave because of that, good riddance.
As for you Solarte, I'm sure your another one of those internet message board monsters that was the high school all american, collegiate all american and perennial all pro in every sport. Ok magnum...you win. I wasn't working in the Raleigh media when Herb was hired. i wasn't there covering his teams that were boring to watch yet winning games. Kenny Inge didn't dive after a loose ball, fall out of bounds, into me, and knock me into a press row table. Herb never gave me in-studio interviews.....

I just get aggravated with these people on here sometimes and I've said this before, who cares who knows what on these message boards. These boards are created for people to voice their opinions on a variety of topics, and a select few of the posters want to start personal attacks on people. I read stuff all the time that I think is obsurd or ridiculous, but I don't call the people "idiots" or "morons" because its their opinion. I do, however, take offense when some jackass does this, to me, or anyone else for that matter. That's why I kind of flew off a bit there. And to know that usually the people that are bullies on here are the ones that probably are very intelligent, but were picked on terribly growing up and in school. Others are probably just people who actually think they are that much more intelligent than the rest of us. I just ask that we all DISCUSS situations. Agree or disagree, but not call anyone out. I don't like that and I'm sure lots of others don't either. I can take all the picking about State, because I know it is a bad situation and doesn't look good. I also had a good time ribbing UNC during and after the Doherty thing. But never once did I make any personal attacks on anyone like the people on here have down towards the State fans, its down right degrading. So, that's why I said what I did to Solarte. But like I said it can all stop if the name calling stops. I do not have a problem personally with anyone on here and sometimes actually enjoy discussing things with certain people because they can do it wisely, and they don't insult anyone with personal comments.

Actually Solarte, I never questioned, yelled or did anything negative to Sendek while he was our coach. I have never yelled or booed any coach at NC State and I never will. I support them fully. I never called Sendek an idiot in public. Did I wonder why he did some of the things he did? Yes, I did. Am I glad he's gone, yes I am. Did I call and ask the AD to have him fired, no I didn't. But I feel the program will be much better off now, even after having to work extremely hard to find a coach. Will he be better than Sendek, hell, I don't know. No one does. Anytime a decision like this is made no one knows if the right choice is made until years down the road. So, I will support whoever is the new coach. So, if all this makes me a fan that my school is embarrassed of then I apologize. If you are actually a member of the media, which I highly doubt, I'm sure you would be a little more selective than to call a person an "idiot" with little fact to back that up. Therefore, if you are a journalist as you say, I'm sure they are extremely proud of you as well. And I'm sure that Sports Illustrated or ESPN The Magazine is beating your door down to offer you their top position.

And for the record, its hard to get "road rage" without actually being on the road. That would just be rage. I figured a journalist would realize that. Also realized that if you are a journalist and don't have "a dog in this ACC fight", then Carolina must have rejected you. I'm sorry for the pain it must have caused.
