No, it's not a joke, cause if you knew anything about me you would know that I was intent on immersing myself as much as possible into everything Czech. I learned the language, I hung out in Czech places, hell - I even coached one of their teams in a wrold championship. I would even say that I invested a more of myself there than I did at UNC.

But since you don't like that example how about if you go to a grad school? Who do you pull for then? How about if you transfer? Which school has to be your number 1, then? Maybe you should come up with a list of rules for this stuff.

I just think that it's kinda stupid to beat up on a guy cause he chose a school that had a specific major and didn't quit rooting for the team he grew up rooting for.

ok, are you just being silly, or is this serious? because if it is serious, you're a fool with no facts. going to the NCAA tourny 7 of the last 11 years is not a team that "is not worth a shit." Consistently getting invites to the NCAA because of high top 30-40 RPI's is NOT crappy, as you call it. Advancing to the second round of the NCAA 3 or the last 5 years has merit, so does a Final Four in 77', and having one of the best hoop facilities in the southeast isn't shitty either. Charlotte is no Duke, but we have performed FAR better the last 11 years than most major basketball programs. For a Duke grad, you aren't documenting very well rook.

 

You don't see Duke grads pulling for UNC football do you?

Sure your school has done well for the level at which it plays.....so has Winthrop.....and Cambell.....and insert crappy mid major here....

 

sly, you are a baffoon with athletics or just yanking chains. you might want to go check out some rpi sites and see exactly where CUSA stands among D1 conferences. 2 years ago it was the 3rd strongest conference in the NCAA. Dont get me wrong, it's not the best or as good as the ACC, but it is not in Winthrop or Cambell's stratosphere. I think our efforts in CUSA are just fine. BTW, how many cusa teams were in the 03' final four, and how many ACC teams? UL, Cincy, Marq, Charlotte, and sad to say Memphis would give any conference a run for their money.

I don't think that C-USA sniffs the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, Big East, Pac 10, or SEC as far as quality. What measure were you using for y'all as the 3rd strongest conference?
