Hard to believe Duke is a BCS football team and top 25 teams like UL, TCU, and ECU aren't.

You have yet to provide valid argumentative points your only argument is you should pull for them if they are your alma mater... that's your only defense... you've also yet to answer who you should pull for if you attended Grad school elsewhere that's why your argument has no base to it. You are the worst kind of UNC-Charlotte fan there is. I support the fact you don't like Carolina, but its sad that your jealousy has developed into a bias such as this. Charlotte is a mid sized college. One in which can't keep the money to keep its own coaches because the ACC comes calling. But until it invests the money and time to improve its overall image. That includes adding football. It will never be a MAJOR player. And for some reason that makes the majority of the UNCC fans extremely jealous of other schools is because its considered second rate athletically. What you don't seem to understand is it IS second rate athletically. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed UNCC. Its a good academic institution (if you put in your study time)... but until some changes are made it won't be a top tiered athletic power for a while... and because of that you all, who I will admit are diehard fans... will hold a jealous resentment of any other team and their fans... because they have and you don't... and you're pouting about it.

 

Read my above post this was your reply to his response. This is an OBVIOUS example of what I meant. You pout about UNC yet they were never meantion in this post by Paul. What about my buddy who went to UNC and was a UNC fan his whole life but had to move back home to go to school part time and work part time after his dad died? He did his last year or so at UNCC - I guess that he's a scumbag if he pulls for teh Heels over UNCC, right?

Oh, and I have this little question for you too. Based on your feelings, I can assume that had you been drafted and made the majors you would have stayed with one team your entire career, right?

 

ACC may look to Florida and Kentucky. I can't see this happening.

 

vp, I WAS drafted and played pro ball. what the hell does professional sports and college have to do with each other? no professional athletes are loyal to the team that drafts them, because they can fire you at any time. your alma mater is a part of you forever.

vp, your buddy sounds like a special case. I probably would give him a mulligan. I am not referring to the 1 out of 50,000 alum like him. What I hate are the fans like the Brain who went to UNCC for four years and still pull for UNC over UNCC head to head. simple.
