I'm not getting attached to any Bickerstaff lead Bobcats team. Since he was hired, I knew we were fucked. I just accepted that we would suck for at least 3-4 years. That being said...

Who/when will be our next coach? For many reasons I love Paul Silas. But Bob Johnson is terrified to bring in any Hornet alumni. What are your thoughts?

I was coming in this thread to say Paul Silas too. He lives in Charlotte still, and I'd love to see him take over after next year. I don't think Bernie will coach more than one more year, he'll back into the front office to secure another 3 years at the helm after next year I imagine. I'd love to see Silas take over the Cats, I felt like he got a shit deal with the Hornets.

Bernie is taking one for the team. its been his plan all along to coach the first few suck years and then turn the team over once they get a few drafts under them and some FA's. full cap in the next few years also.

Silas would be cool. dont know if Bob is scared to bring him back or not, but Ive heard/read comments from people who would like him back.

otherwise I dont know who they would hire. probably someone on a NBA coaching staff or ex-player. dont really see them hiring from college.

I'm just worried Bickerstaff is grooming his son to take over, and I'm afraid he's not near ready.
