What did you do in order to come to that conclusion? Did you have a spiritual moment where you felt God reveal himself to you? Did you study religious text and theologians? I am not qualified to tell you what to believe or not believe but I would suggest to you that you put more effort into the issue than just a casual observation of world events.

The song summarizes my thoughts. "My God is real for I can feel him in my heart". I know God is real based on my personal experience. I can not prove it to you I can only suggest you seek him out to find for yourself.

If Ozzy had a song that articulated atheism then it would be fair post it.

What sign are you? Pardon me while I consult my horoscope. Now I'm needling/joking. :N1mmmblood:

This thread is much like arguing 'Which came first, the chicken or the egg?'
God is a good starting point for marking the beginning of existence.

I've met people that are God-fearing (and Christians), but had the enlightenment of a cockroach, and some very enlightened people that didn't necessarily believe nor disbelieve in God. Some folks believe in God because they're superstitious, want to cover as many bases as possible.

There is a belief that man created God for the purpose of bringing order and closure for their existence, to end the constant turmoil of wandering/searching for answers.

God gave me/us the ability to believe (in Him) or to not believe in Him, is the way I see.

I know God enough to know that his existence is not subject to my personal feelings or existences. I know God enough to know that his existence doesn't hinge on someone's feelings for or against him.

The athiests post might have been fair, but nonetheless irrelevant to the existence of God.

The egg came first. I ate it for breakfast. I didn't have fried chicken until supper.

I'd have to say that the belief that man created God to bring order and closure would have to be the biggest joke of them all. Which man? How did he convince the others? The man that convinced the Jews and Muslims to give up pork, now that's the guy I want on my sales team! Wait, forget him, I want the guy that convinced the others to be circumcised.

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

I don't know about world events, but by observation of His creation is clearly a way to insight.

I was speaking Man as in mankind, not as an individual being within mankind.

Agreed. God, to me, is a spirit within me that motivates(if I so choose), the good "part" of my spirit.
