    They are both Division I.

Division I is Division I. Div I-AA is NOT Div II. Div I-AA does not have to meet attendance figures (school population or game wise) as Div I-A schools do.

Yep. It's quite simple. Division I is Division I, Div II is Div II. I-AA got named I-AA because it was the only logical thing to call it - not because it's a segment of I, or a segment of II. It was created to be its own entity. Its own rules, its own teams.

call it what you want. Div I-AA follows Div I rules and guidelines. (this is why I cant belive DiV I-A does not have a playoff) Div II has a complete differnet set of guidelines to follow

They're separate entities. Attendance figures, stadium size requirements are big differences, as well as playoffs. -AA is a hybrid that doesn't explicitly follow or get governed by either.

I wonder if this is part of the reason Easy T is dropping football. Never had much local support at all, not like the basketball team.

Yall are arguing over semantics. They are both Div-I. It is a separate entity, with its own rules like playoffs (Mora voice). I promise that if I'm mod, anyone arguing over semantics will be ridiculed mercilessly. Oh wait, I already do that.

    Carry on.

Let's settle this.... you are both right but at the same time you are both wrong.

The only person right in this entire thread is Silver Surfer.

    Carry on.
